Joe Rogan and Bert Sorin recently chopped it up about those in government who encroach upon civilian privacy, sometimes in situations we would never imagine.
In episode 2242 of the Joe Rogan Experience, the titular figure spoke with Sorin, the president and co-founder of Sorin Exercise Equipment. The JRE guest is also known for being an athlete and hunter who advocates for the health as well as wellness of veterans.
The idea of encrypted messages providing privacy was discussed through an anecdote relayed to him by Tucker Carlson. The conservative pundit had supposedly claimed that government officials called him up relating they had access to his signal during the planning stages for Carlson's interview with Vladimir Putin.
This led to Rogan imparting that a government official had told him they only needed to have someone's phone number to access their private information. When both were discussing this, Rogan said:

"Whatever you carry in your notes and whatever is in your folders or your photos."
Sorin retorted:
"They got all kinds of ballistics."
To this, Rogan responded:
"For sure [laughs]. They've got access to all of it. You got d**k pics, they got d**k pics. They have your d**k pics."

Joe Rogan and Sean Strickland discuss New Jersey drones
Joe Rogan also recently took to social media to discuss the New Jersey drone situation which has been taking up space in many recent news headlines. The 57-year-old reposted video footage of the CEO of a drone manufacturing company with reported government contracts offering up a unique take on the NJ drone situation.
The UFC commentator indicated in his message that that was the first NJ drone-related bit of content that caused him to be 'genuinely concerned' to use his operative wording.
Sean Strickland is no stranger to offering up his brash opinions on things and had his own theory about that New Jersey drone situation. Much like Rogan, Strickland took to X to offer up his thoughts where he described NJ as a communist anti-gun surveillance state.
The former UFC middleweight champion mentioned how if this was happening in any other state, those drones would be shot down. The New Jersey native does not presently reside in the state but it is clear that Joe Rogan still has a level of curiosity localized to developments in that area.
