Veteran MMA commentator and podcasting icon Joe Rogan spoke about the upcoming boxing match between the legendary Mike Tyson and influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul in November. To many analysts and fighters, this fight shouldn't have happened, given that Tyson is 58 years old and suffered a "health scare" in July which pushed the fight back a few months.
In a podcast episode with MMA legends Matt Serra and Din Thomas, alongside MMA coach John Rallo, Rogan was quite candid with his worries about the fight, saying:
"I really hope he [Paul] doesn't knock Mike Tyson out. I'll just be really bummed out to see Mike get KO'd at 58 years old."

Thomas doubled down on this, saying:
"What other sport where we let a 58-year-old man compete other than golf? Why are we letting this happen?"
Rogan then answered:
"It's kinda crazy."

Joe Rogan on Mike Tyson knocking out Jake Paul: "That would be wild"
Despite being afraid that Mike Tyson might be walking into an inevitable knockout, Joe Rogan and the company also recognize the fact that the boxing legend is still quite capable of pulling off a KO himself. They said that if Jake Paul ever makes a mistake and 'Iron' Mike capitalizes on it, the young boxer will see the negative zone - as unlikely as that may seem.
Rogan said:
"Mike [Tyson] also has layers upon layers of attacks that are in his mind. He's forgotten more about boxing that Jake Paul has ever remembered...At the end of the day, Mike's a monster and if he could get that monster to just move in and close the distance. And if he uncorks a 'boom boom' on Jake Paul and Jake Paul go to queer street, that would be wild. To watch a 58-year-old Mike Tyson, that'd be best case scenario for the world."[1:42]
Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson will take place on Nov. 15 inside the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The event will be streamed live globally by Netflix.
