On episode #2189 of The Joe Rogan Experience, the podcast's latest installment, Joe Rogan recounted to guest Dennis Quaid how American political commentator Joy Reid once compared United States president Joe Biden's COVID-19 recovery to former president Donald Trump's survival of his assassination attempt.

Rogan found the comparison humorous, describing the strain of COVID-19 that Biden had contracted as nothing serious. Meanwhile, he pointed out that Trump was shot in the head, although acknowledging that the bullet merely grazed the former president's ear, sparing him of any serious injuries.

"One of my favorite moments was when Joy Reid was comparing [Joe] Biden getting COVID to [Donald] Trump getting shot. Like, 'He got over COVID.' No, he got over 2024 COVID, which is basically a f***ing cough and [Ronald] Reagan, I mean, excuse me, Trump, got shot in the f***ing head. Yeah, it only grazed his ear, but that was just a miraculous turn of the head at the exact right moment."

Rogan has been a longtime critic of Biden, even once claiming that the U.S.A. president's' Pfizer booster shot was faked and that the government would never run the risk of him suffering from any potential vaccine-related side effects. He also takes frequent jabs at Biden's cognitive abilities given the latter's age.

Despite his antagonistic relationship with the Biden administration, Rogan claims neutrality in the world of American politics. Unfortunately, that hasn't spared him from Trump's wrath.

Joe Rogan and Donald Trump are not on good terms

In the wake of Donald Trump's assassination attempt, Joe Rogan spoke highly of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., even describing him as the most sensible political option. His comment, though, drew the ire of Trump, who expressed a desire to see how loudly Rogan would be booed at his next UFC event.

"It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring??? MAGA2024"

This prompted Rogan to engage in damage control by claiming that, despite his praise for Kenndy, he was not making an official endorsement of him as a presidential candidate.
