On episode #2220 of The Joe Rogan Experience, the polarizing podcaster touched on Elon Musk's acquisition of X/Twitter. While speaking to guests Francis Foster and Konstantin Kisin, with the former being a comedian and the latter a satirist, Rogan tackled the increasingly political role information has taken.

According to him, Musk's purchase of X led a shift in how businesses managed information. As is often the case with Rogan's sociopolitical commentary, he was critical of leftist companies, specifically naming technology giants like Google and Apple.

"They're businesses and enormous businesses, but they're super left-wing. Not just super left-wing, but 'super woke' left-wing, which is the craziest version of it. There's no room for negotiation. Anybody who disagrees is a fascist. It gets real weird. It gets real weird with ideas. So you have, for the first time ever human beings are capable with a device that you carry around with them that has unbelievable amounts of power."

He then goes on to praise Musk for his X/Twitter purchase, which he even supported in the name of free speech.

"You're getting connected with an infinite number of ideas that are constantly coming your way. And it's almost all in the hands of left-wing [companies]. The left-wing party is Google, it's Facebook, it's all these companies that have massive power. And until Elon [Musk] stepped in and bought Twitter, there was no counter to that. It was just one side."
