Joe Rogan is known to discuss a wide variety of topics on his renowned podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. The UFC commentator recently weighed in on how Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter affected the people driving censorship on the platform.
Speaking to guest Matt Taibbi on episode #1940 of JRE, Rogan stated:
"It's very bizarre to me that they would just openly call for censorship in emails and these private transmissions, but ones that are easily duplicated. You can send them to other people. It could easily get out. Like, that they're so comfortable with the idea that the government should be involved in this censorship of what turns out to be true information... that they would be so comfortable that they would just send it in emails."
Rogan later added:

"It's so strange to get such a peek because I don't think anybody ever anticipated that something like this would happen where Twitter would get sold to an eccentric billionaire whose intent on letting all the information get released... He truly believes that censored social media is a threat to democracy. He really believes that, and I believe it too."
While Rogan agrees that censorship on social media threatens democracy, he noted that even if he had the $44 billion that Musk spent on Twitter, he would likely not do the same due to the backlash. He concluded that it would be interesting to see how Musk's purchase of Twitter and subsequent release of information plays out.

Joe Rogan questions the narrative that Elon Musk is 'far-right'
Among the topics discussed in episode #1940 of JRE, Joe Rogan questioned the narrative that Elon Musk has turned far-right. Speaking to guest Matt Taibbi, the UFC commentator stated:
"There's an amazing amount of resistance against him and just the publicity campaign against him has been fascinating to watch. People go from thinking that Elon Musk is this savior that's bringing us these amazing electric cars and engineering new reusable rockets to he's an alt-right piece of s**t who wants Donald Trump back in the office. It's very wild."
Rogan asked those claiming that Musk is a right-winger to provide evidence that supports their claims. He speculated that the narrative may be driven by the Tesla CEO's decision to allow Donald Trump back onto Twitter.
