Joe Rogan recently criticized the criminal charges Donald Trump is currently facing and believing the seriousness of the alleged crimes could lead to significant jail time for the former U.S president. On episode #2204 of the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE), Rogan welcomed Matt Walsh, an American political commentator and author.
On the episode, the pair discussed a host of topics, but were primarly focused on the ongoing U.S. electoral race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. Despite running for another term in office, Trump is also potentially facing jail time.
Trump has been accused and charged with falsifying business records, election subversion, Espionage Act violations and hoarding classified documents. He has categorically denied any wrongdoings, but is expected to face trial later this year.
Rogan, who was discussing Trump's alleged crimes, criticized the media for how they have handled the allegations and expressed concern for what the punishments, if Trump is found guilty, might be. He said:

"They [the media] can say something and it be not true, but enough people repeat it and it becomes a narrative. It's true he's [Trump] is a convicted felon now, but what did he do?...It's not terrible crimes he's committed and it's making it seem like it's something he deserves to be in jail for the rest of his life for. That's crazy...That might actually happen if he doesn't become president. If he doesn't become president, they might actually lock him up for 25 years for that. Essentially the rest of his life."

Recently, on episode #2202 of the JRE, Rogan discussed Harris' campaign so far, and highlighted the work Harris and her team have been doing. He said:
"Before I say anything. I just want to say, whoever's helping her [Harris], whoever's coaching her, whoever's the puppet master running the strings, [gestures chef's kiss] you did a f**king amazing job. They did an amazing job from the moment [Joe] Biden drops out...Whatever they're doing, whoever's writing those speeches, getting her delivering, coaching her. She's nailing it."
