Joe Rogan recently opened up about his experience in comedy after 'Fear Factor' ended and some of the difficulties he experienced as he continued his stand-up career. The podcast host and UFC commentator explained how his finances took a hit, considering that he wasn't seen on television on a weekly basis anymore.

'Fear Factor' was a competition show that saw contestants compete against each other in a series of challenges consisting of stunts and eating. The winner would be determined by the contestant who completed their challenge in the quickest time and would be awarded prize money.

During a recent episode of his JRE podcast, the UFC commentator described how a comedy club cut his pay due because they didn't believe he was a hot commodity anymore. Rogan mentioned that he was successful in all his past gigs at the comedy club and was caught by surprise when they notified him about his potential earnings. He said:

"Even though I had sold out every show every time I had been there [comedy club] for years, they decided that I wasn't a draw anymore. So they tried to decrease my amount by 25% and I was like, 'What the fu*k are you talking about?', and they were like, 'We don't think you're a draw anymore'...It was one of those big clubs, big companies that has a lot of clubs...I think it was two years that I didn't work for them." Joe Rogan once famously got into altercation with 'Fear Factor' contestant

'Fear Factor' had plenty of memorable moments including Joe Rogan's altercation with a contestant that needed to be broken up before it escalated any further.

The special three episodes had a reality television theme and featured contestants from shows including 'American Idol' and 'The Real World'. During the aforementioned, Rogan took offense after contestant Johnny Fairplay was shoved by a female contestant, which led to her husband getting involved before they were separated by eventual WWE superstar The Miz. He said:

"What are you doing? You can't assault people. What he did is called strategy, he's yelling at you. You can't run up to him and hit him. Like, if you and your husband hit each other that's one thing, you don't run up to hit other contestants."
