Joe Rogan has weighed in on the ongoing FTX saga that saw the cryptocurrency company collapse after losing billions of dollars.
While speaking with comedian Kurt Metzger on episode #1903 of JRE, Rogan mentioned that there was plenty of incompetence with co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried. He mentioned that it was shocking how Bankman-Fried was able to secure large sums of money:
"What about this FTX thing? That's where it gets crazy...'Crypto's biggest crash saw guy playing League of Legends while luring investors.' So he was playing this f**king game while he was talking to the investors."
The UFC commentator and podcast host added that there was also drug use involved, which clearly isn't a recipe for success. He brought up an article on the matter and commented:

"If that guy [Sam Bankman-Fried] didn't go to war with that other guy - that's what happened right? That dude dumped all of his coins, he sold all of his coins and he really couldn't cover it... That was his like rival... They funneled off like $10 billion into that 'cause the whole thing is so wild. They were just on speed playing with fake money."
The FTX co-founder managed to lure in celebrities and athletes, including Tom Brady, Shaquille O'Neal, Steph Curry and David Ortiz to invest money in the cryptocurrency before his venture ultimately collapsed.

Joe Rogan discusses FTX co-founder's drug use
Joe Rogan and Kurt Metzger also weighed in on the drug use that was taking place in the FTX workspace.
The UFC commentator and podcast host even brought up a tweet from Alameda CEO Caroline Ellison, who was connected with the FTX co-founder, which read:
"Nothing like regular amphetamine to make you appreciate how dumb a lot of normal, non-medicated human experience is."
Both comedians found the entire situation to be bizarre, and the JRE host even pulled up a YouTube video that detailed the FTX co-founder's drug use.
Among some of the articles and videos they pulled up in the episode were those that referenced that Bankman-Fried was vegan because of 'pathological gambling' and 'hypersexuality.'
