Joe Rogan recently discussed how human civilization could have started before most history books state.
Rogan is known for diving deep into conspiracy theories. The UFC commentator recently sat down with Steven Pressfield, an author specializing in historical fiction and non-fiction, for episode #1901 of The Joe Rogan Experience.
They discussed various topics, including ancient civilizations and teachings. The 55-year-old podcast host had this to say:
“One of the things that Graham Hancock brings up that’s really fascinating is that as we develop more of an understanding of human evolution, we realize that anatomically similar humans, we go back far further than we originally thought. The original assessment, I think I remember when I was in high school, they thought it was like 50,000 years ago.”

Rogan further explained his reasoning by saying:
“Anatomical humans emerged 50,000 years ago, and then human civilization emerged 6,000 years ago, and now they’re finding all this evidence of advanced civilization like Gobekli Tepe, which is this uncovered site in Turkey, this massive structure that existed 11,000 something years ago. This was the first ever thing that they can date, which they know for sure is older than the pyramids by quite a bit. At least older than the conventional dating of the pyramids.”
The history of human civilization continues to be discovered as humans evolve. Whether true or not, listening to Rogan discuss topics like these makes The Joe Rogan Experience unique.

Joe Rogan claims Alex Pereira is participating in "sanctioned cheating"
Alex Pereira shocked the MMA world by beating long-reigning UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya with a fifth-round TKO at UFC 281.
One characteristic that makes Pereira different from other middleweight fighters is the huge amount of weight he cuts to make the 185-pound limit. During episode #1900 of The Joe Rogan Experience, Joe Rogan had this to say about ‘Poatan’:
“He has a hard time making 185... It's a bull***t thing [weight-cutting]. It's basically sanctioned cheating. It really is. But everybody does it... But Izzy barely does it."
The former GLORY kickboxer looked phenomenal against Adesanya, but his grappling left a lot to be desired. Pereira will likely defend the UFC middleweight title for the first time in a rematch against ‘The Last Stylebender'. No timeline has been set as both fighters heal from their war at UFC 281.
