Joe Rogan discusses pitfalls of "bad" relationships: "You're literally robbing your life"

Joe Rogan highlighted how toxic relationships - professional, personal, or any other - can impact every aspect of life and strip a person of his ability to lead a fulfilling life. Over the years, Rogan's views and life philosophy have gained much popularity, primarily due to his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.

In a recent episode of the podcast, Rogan discussed human relationships with his guest and renowned author Sebastian Junger. While discussing the extreme steps people end up taking to get out of toxic or stressful relationships, Rogan shared his thoughts. He said:

"I've never been in that bad of a relationship but I've known people that have. Sometimes you've just got to do what you have to do just to stay alive. Bad relationships, bad friendships, bad jobs and bad a lot of things, they rob you of your peace, they create anxiety which creates physical problems, your body is under stress, your cortisol levels get jacked up. That f*s with your sleep, which f*s with your health. You're literally robbing your life."

When Joe Rogan shared his experience of a relationship gone wrong

Joe Rogan has candidly shared his life experiences on his podcast quite a few times. While discussing relationships with comedian Theo Von on The Joe Rogan Experience, the UFC color commentator shared how one of his relationships ended after he caught his girlfriend cheating on him.

Rogan used to deliver newspapers when he was in high school. During one of his early morning shifts, he found out that his girlfriend was romantically involved with a friend. He said:

"She is making out with this friend of mine, in the car, right in front of my house."

He added:

"I just slapped my hand on the hood of the car while they're making out and looked at them, going, 'arghhh' and I just drove off. I was just happy about it. It wasn't like I had a commitment to this lady."
