Joe Rogan recently floated a new theory about the mystery drone sightings in the United States earlier this month.
In episode #2244 of The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE), the podcaster, along with former Navy pilot Ryan Graves, addressed the issue of drone sightings and suggested that the government has allegedly deployed drones to make the citizens get used to UFOs.
On the show, the UFC commentator stated that the administration is unconcerned about the issue. He thinks that the same manner people got used to wearing masks during COVID-19, can be implemented to get people accustomed to the unmanned objects.
"Like you have a bunch of them hovering in New Jersey , you have a few of them in San Diego...Get people so accustomed to UFOs, like the mask thing—sounds like a ridiculous comparison but like five years ago if people walked around wearing masks... it would make you uncomfortable ... now you have to do it...it took a while but then it became normal."

He added:
"If they wanted to make it normal that things are in the sky, you put things in the sky. You put a bunch of things in the sky, and you don't explain it, and you have them there all the time and you let people speculate."
Further, the 57-year-old dismissed theories that the "things in the sky" are related to aliens and said:
"It's probably not even—it's probably our own sh**. Or some unknown agency is involved in this, the government is not concerned because they know exactly what's happening."

Joe Rogan is "genuinely concerned" with drone sightings
On Dec. 15, Joe Rogan addressed the mysterious drone sightings in parts of the Empire State and New Jersey. He expressed his concern on a TikTok video posted by John Ferguson, the CEO of a remote aircraft system company. In the clip, Ferguson stated:
"The only reason why you would ever fly an unmanned aircraft at night is if you’re looking for something...So my belief is they’re trying to smell something on the ground – gas leak, radioactive material..."
Rogan responded to the aforementioned video and posted on X:
