Despite being polarizing to the public eye, Joe Rogan has maintained his authenticity throughout his career as an entertainment and media personality. One major evidence of this is how he maintained his podcast, Joe Rogan Experience, mostly a two-man crew for more than a decade now. To him, this is to make sure that no production company, studio, or other outside influence can dictate the authenticity of the product.
Because of this, JRE has produced some of the most honest, sincere, interesting, and controversial conversations in the history of podcasting. This is one of the topics Rogan and fellow comedian Dave Smith had in a recent episode of JRE.
After Smith ranted about CNN's Chris Cuomo, whom he'd had a heated debate about vaccines on air. Cuomo then accused Smith of being loud and antagonistic during the debate so he can boost more viewership to his podcast - as if he doesn't believe in what he says.

Smith then added that both he and Rogan never do such things for views. Rogan even said that he's the No. 1 podcast in the world and he never does that. He then said:
"They think that way. That's why they're accusing you of that. That's a motivation for people that are in that industry. If you're in the f**king industry of being a mouthpiece for network news, there's a narrow window of behavior that you have to operate under."
Rogan added:
"There's a culture [of] a way people think about that and this is your job. So you're gonna do the things that you think are going to get you more ratings... That's how you're thinking. It's the wrong way to think when you're on the internet."

Joe Rogan on the abortion debate: "I'm not saying you shouldn't be able to do it"
The next topic the two got into was the heated debate about abortion in the U.S. During the recently concluded U.S. elections, one of the main concerns of the liberal party was abortion rights, arguing that it's the right of women to choose to terminate a pregnancy should they deem it necessary.
On this topic, Joe Rogan said (1:39:50):
"I'm not saying you shouldn't be able to do it. I'm not a woman. I should not have the choice of a what a woman can [or] can't do with their body. I would not want a man, if I was a woman, to tell me what the f*ck I can do with my body."
Rogan then made a comparison that if vasectomy for men became illegal in several states, and that men in states where it's illegal wouldn't be allowed to travel to states where it's allowed, there would be a massive outrage. The same thing is happening to abortion, which the famous podcaster is completely against. He concluded:
"Worry about important sh*t. Don't worry about what a guy wants to to get a vasectomy or way worse, a woman wants to do if she wants to get an abortion. It's not your f**king business."
