Popular MMA commentator and podcast pioneer Joe Rogan has been pivotal in Donald Trump's recent presidential win. In the final leg of his campaign, the president-elect guested in Rogan's ultra-popular podcast, convincing more Americans to vote for him.
Reports on election day showed that a few voters admitted that their decision was largely influenced by Trump's appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience, further proving the stand-up comedian's influential power in the election.
In a recent episode of his smash-hit podcast, Rogan explained why he supports the Republican party and what he thinks the administration can do now that it has people like Elon Musk in the cabinet:

"I have more hope for this country right now, after this election, than I've had in a long, long time. It feels like with this crew of people - with JD Vance, Elon Musk, RFK Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, and Vivek Ramaswamy - I think there's a real chance that things can change. Real chance that we can expose some of the deep-seated corruption, some of the problems we've had in this country and move us on to a better path."

When Joe Rogan speculated how Elon Musk would clean up the US government like he did with X
An example of what Joe Rogan thinks Elon Musk can do now that he's part of the new cabinet is to make the US government more efficient. He could do this by doing exactly what he did to X (formerly Twitter). The SpaceX CEO purchased the widely-used social media platform and immediately fired a large number of its workforce, citing inefficiency as a reason.
While a lot of commentators saw this as a heartless move, an equal number saw the social media site improving significantly because of it.
In a previous JRE episode with venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya, Rogan explained how Musk can do the same thing with the US government:
"One of the things that I thought was extraordinary that Elon was getting pushed back on was his idea of making the government more efficient. And that auditing the various programs and finding out how to make them more efficient. A lot of people really freaked out about that."
He continued:
"The main argument from the intelligent people that I saw was, 'What are you gonna do? Are you gonna fire all these people that are in charge of the government?' I don't think that's the answer for an ineffective government, is to let the same people do the same thing because otherwise you have to fire them."
