Episode #2249 of The Joe Rogan Experience saw the appearance of comedians Yannis Pappas and Chris Distefano. As the group of three conversed, they came upon the topic of World War Two, at which point Rogan claimed that there was a link between drug use and war-time atrocities among the soldiers.
World War Two marked one of the darkest periods in human history, with particular attention given to the wanton destruction and brutal torture many were subjected to. The horrors of the war culminated in the Holocaust, an industrialization of the genocide of European Jews.
The longtime UFC commentator speculated that this was, at least partially, due to the drugs that Nazi soldiers were taking at the time.
"It's also weird when you see the horrors of the war escalate until, eventually, it becomes the Holocaust. What's also weird is the ubiquitous drug use. Have you read that book? Do you have it still here, Jamie or is it in the other room now? It was 'Blitzed,' it's a f***ing crazy book. And I had the author in here and he was explaining it. There it is, there it is. Norman Ohler. This book is f***ing nuts."

Rogan is no stranger to drug use, being a recreational user himself. In fact, he is a vocal proponent of psychedelics, championing their alleged effects on broadening people's psychological horizons and unlocking their latent creativity. This even sparked an argument between him and physicists Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Joe Rogan previously speculated about Hitler Adolf's alleged drug use
Nearly six years ago, Joe Rogan welcomed comedian Brian Moses to his podcast, where on episode #1329, the pair discussed Adolf Hitler's alleged drug use at the height of Nazi Germany's geopolitical rise. The moment in question was of Hitler rocking back and forth during the 1936 Olympics held in Germany.
