Episode #2236 of The Joe Rogan Experience, which is thus far not available on YouTube but other platforms like Spotify, saw the popular podcaster respond to Joy Behar's claim that he believes in dragons. While speaking to fellow comedians Shane Gillis, Mark Normand, and Ari Shaffir, he issued his official reply.
As he did so, Rogan pointed out that Behar's claim was unfounded and based on a misinterpretation of a conversation he had had with wildlife biologist Forrest Galante on episode #1403 of his podcast, which took place years ago. This prompted Rogan to express his frustration over the matter.
"I had to read the thing about 'The View' because I just thought it was funny. Joy Behar was trying to say that I believe in dragons. She said, 'I checked it, I checked it!' And the lady goes, 'Did you double check it?' And she goes, 'I checked it, he believes in dragons. They live alongside of people.' It was from a wildlife biologist who came on my show. This was Forrest Galante."
After explaining that the conversation, which was misinterpreted by Behar, revolved around Rogan and Galante speculating on the reasons why dragons are prevalent throughout human culture. The conclusion they came to was people coming across large reptiles like crocodiles and simply describing them poorly.

Regardless, this prompted Rogan to criticize both 'The View' and ABC, which broadcasts the aforementioned talk show.
"This is the most important part. This is right after she was saying, 'We are run by ABC News. You should trust us, not Joe Rogan who believes in dragons.' By saying we should trust them, because they're double checked by ABC News, and then making the stupidest fu*king statement, you didn't listen to what I said. You didn't listen to what the wildlife biologist said."
