Joe Rogan seemingly can't keep his name out of the spotlight. Adding to a growing list of controversies surrounding him, Rogan has recently been accused of anti-Semitic comments.
The podcaster casually managed to offend Jewish sentiments while defending progressive Rep. Ilhan Omar, who's been accused of the same charge. While Rogan might be amongst Forbes' 100 most influential people in the world, the UFC color commentator had to hear some harsh words from his father when he reached his New Jersey home.
Rogan Sr., 81, claims to have questioned his son's anti-Semitic comments without prejudice. According to Rogan's father, his son's judgment has been clouded by money. Rogan Sr., told the New York Post:
“Who are you to judge people? Who made you God last night? I’m not prejudiced. Everybody has got to live and I teach my kids that. This bothers me. The money went to his head and his head got bigger than his hat — he fools people."

Rogan signed a multi-million dollar deal with Spotify in 2020 which is on the verge of exhaustion. The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) host refused to specify the details of his contract and only claimed that it doesn't end this year.
Joe Rogan's deal might be in a precarious position at the moment, especially with Max Cutler, in-charge of exclusive deals at Spotify, leaving the company.
Joe Rogan's anti-semitic comments
Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar was booted from the Foreign Affairs Committee earlier this month over her past anti-Semitic comments. Rogan, in a recent attempt to defend Omar, came under fire himself for the same charge.
Speaking about America's support for Israel, Omar had said it’s ‘all about the Benjamins' in a 2019 speech. Rogan insisted that the term 'Benjamin', which is widely denounced as a racist trope, isn't necessarily anti-Semitic.
Joe Rogan further went on to link the Jewish people to money in a remark which has since been widely criticized. The 55-year-old said on a recent episode of JRE:
“It’s just about money — she’s just talking about money. That’s not an anti-Semitic statement, I don’t think that is. Benjamins are money. The idea that Jewish people are not into money is ridiculous. That’s like saying Italians aren’t into pizza. It’s f—ing stupid. It’s f—ing stupid.”
