Joe Rogan is not too happy about the merciless trolling that Ben Askren and Tyroe Woodley faced after their losses to Jake Paul.
In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast (JRE), the UFC commentator sat down with UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad and discussed various topics.
At one point, Rogan said that after losing to Paul, people appeared to forget how great 'Funky' and Woodley were during their prime days in MMA:
"Boy, he got ruthlessly haunted on the internet too, all [those] memes of him... Tyrone was one of the greatest welerweights of all time. Tyrone, in his prime, was a bad motherf**ker. He knocked out so many guys but when he beat up Darren Till when Darren Till was the man, when Darren Till was on his way up, he dropped him with a punch and strangled him, dude, people forget."

In his third professional boxing fight, Jake Paul took on Ben Askren in April 2021. The fight was a short-lived affair as 'The Problem Child' knocked Askren unconscious in the very first round.
Jake Paul then went up against Askren's friend and training partner Tyron Woodley. The fight went the full eight-round distance and the YouTuber-turned-boxer edged out a split-decision victory.
Paul was then scheduled to fight Tommy Fury but 'TNT' withdrew from the fight due to an injury. Woodley stepped in as a last-minute replacement for a rematch.
This time, the 26-year-old did not leave the result to the judges and knocked 'The Chosen One' out in the sixth round of the fight.
Joe Rogan on Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane
Following Francis Ngannou's departure from the UFC, it was announced that the UFC heavyweight title will be contested between Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane.
During his conversation with Belal Muhammad, Joe Rogan discussed the matchup. Rogan expressed his excitement and shared that it would be interesting to see how 'Bones' would fare in his heavyweight debut after being out of action for three years:
“Very interesting fight. So, for Jon, it’s gonna be, can Jon take him down? How does Jon perform at heavyweight? Can Jon close the distance? Is he as fast? What was the three years off like? Is he hungrier and even better because he’s fired up?"
