In episode #2236 of The Joe Rogan Experience, the latest installment of the popular podcast, the topic of Donald Trump's public image was discussed. The UFC commentator offered his thoughts on the matter alongside his guests and fellow comedians Shane Gillis, Mark Normand, and Ari Shaffir.
According to Rogan, the polarizing image that Trump has cultivated isn't entirely the latter's fault. He believes it to be the result of a widespread psychological operation perpetrated by Trump's detractors to worsen the public's perception of him deliberately.
"What you're seeing with Trump, regardless of his flaws, what you're seeing with Trump is a massive concentrated psyop. They've distorted who he is to the point where most people think that way. Most people think that way. They've had narratives."
When Normand asked the UFC commentator what the term psyop meant, the commentator was delighted to provide him with an answer.

Rogan has since emerged as one of Trump's supporters following a brief rough patch with the United States president-elect. At one point, Rogan had heaped tremendous praise on Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who was running as an independent presidential candidate in the 2024 United States presidential elections.
Rogan's description of Kennedy as the only sensible option irked Trump, who issued a statement on social media wherein he wondered how loudly Rogan would be booed at the next UFC event for his recent statements. The pair soon repaired their relationship after Rogan clarified that he had not, in fact, endorsed Kennedy.
Joe Rogan conversed with Donald Trump about the latter's public image
On episode #2219 of his podcast, which has since become the second-most viewed in its history, Joe Rogan spoke to Donald Trump about his public image. He even brought up Trump's appearance on 'The View,' erroneously dating the encounter to 2015 when, in fact, it took place in 2011.
"It was the episode when you're on 'The View' and I think it was 2015 or 2016. When you were running for president and you got introduced as 'our friend, Donald Trump.' Whoopi Goldberg gives you a big hug and a kiss. Joy Behar gives you a big hug. Barbara Walters gives you a big hug. They all loved you."

Rogan, however, was incorrect in Trump being introduced as 'our friend,' and the hosts, while warm, weren't as welcoming as described.
