Joe Rogan has been involved in combat sports for roughly half of his life, and the longtime UFC commentator has seen countless bizarre incidents in the sport. During a recent podcast episode, Rogan shared a story about a UFC fighter who needed to defecate on his way to the octagon.
According to the podcast host, the fighter in question was submission specialist Michael Chiesa, who will compete at UFC 310 on Dec. 8. However, the comedian and UFC commentator noted that Chiesa was not the only fighter he knew that had found themselves in that predicament.
He recounted the story during a recent episode with frequent guest and fellow comedian, Theo Von. Rogan said:
"I know guys who have sh*t themselves in the UFC. Multiple guys, I believe Tim Sylvia sh*t himself in a fight once. Who else? Michael Chiesa looked over at me once while I was doing commentary. I think perhaps it was one of those situations where the fight before [him] ended quicker so he didn't get as much warm up time as he wanted."

He continued:
"All of a sudden he's running out there and he looked at me and goes, 'Dude I'm about to sh*t my pants!' I go, 'Really?' And he goes, 'Yeah, I'm about to sh*t my pants.' And he won, he went out there and won via first-round submission."

If the details of Rogan's story are correct, then Chiesa's near-disaster would have come in either his promotional debut against Al Iaquinta at The Ultimate Fighter 15 Finale in 2012, or against Tony Ferguson at UFC Abu Dhabi on Aug. 3 2024.
Joe Rogan labels Khamzat Chimaev "terrifying" after brutal win over Robert Whittaker at UFC 308
UFC 308 saw a massive middleweight clash between Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev, dubbed a potential title eliminator bout.
With many eager to see how Chimaev handled a fighter of Whittaker's caliber, fans and commentators were left stunned as 'Borz' submitted his opponent in Round 1. He handed 'The Reaper' the first submission loss of his UFC career, as well as breaking several of his lower front teeth.
During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the podcast host reflected on Chimaev's performance, saying:
"[Chimaev] is terrifying. He does that to everybody. Everybody he gets a hold of, he just ragdolls, even really elite wrestlers. It's very extraordinary. His talent is undeniable. Seeing him break Robert Whittaker's jaw by squeezing across his face, wow."
