Episode #2239 of The Joe Rogan Experience featured the return of Derek Munro from the popular 'More Plates More Dates' YouTube channel. During the pair's conversation, the topic of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson's assassination came up.

In fact, the conversation took place right at the onset of the podcast episode, with Rogan revealing that he has witnessed more assassinations, on social media in general, over the last two years than he has at any other point in his life. However, Rogan believes Thompson's death will draw even more attention.

Moreover, the UFC commentator opined that conspiracy theories are likely racking their brains speculating about the reason behind Thompson's demise.

"A targeted attack by a gunman waiting for him. A real assassination. 6:45 AM outside the Hilton on Sixth Avenue, where the company's annual investor conference was about to take place. Yeah man, I wonder what's going on with that. That's one of those things that just makes conspiracy theorists go cuckoo. I'm sure there are some real good theories floating around on X right now."

Rogan himself is well-acquainted with several conspiracy theorists, most notably 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu founder Eddie Bravo and controversial political commentator Alex Jones, both of whom have been on his podcast on numerous occasions. Jones' appearance on the JRE podcast, though, has been more notable.

It has drawn criticism from various circles on the internet, given Jones' widely criticized position on mass shootings, a problem endemic to the United States.
