Brown described the JRE podcast episode as the 'Cracker Podcast Episode of the Year,' with 'cracker' being an ethnic slur aimed toward white people. Nevertheless, Rogan took Brown's tweet without offense, even using humor to diffuse an otherwise peculiar situation.

"This is a great honor and the only award I've ever won that I care about."

This drew a short two-word response from Brown himself, who was more than respectful.

"Honored.... Legend"

While the longtime UFC commentator has always been a prominent figure in popular media due to hosting 'Fear Factor' and his standup comedy career, he heightened his public profile tremendously through podcasting. It has evolved into a platform that welcomes guests from all walks of life.

Initially, Rogan interviewed combat sports figures, given his own martial arts background and work with the UFC. However, as time progressed, Rogan began hosting scientists, actors, and eventually politicians. Now, in 2024, Rogan has become a massive proponent of American right-wing politics.

That Rogan hosted Trump on his podcast became a point of interest for many voters who were uncertain on who to throw their support behind in the 2024 United States presidential elections.

It was also a U-turn from Rogan's previous stance on interviewing Trump, with whom he had a brief feud after his praise of former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was mistaken for an official endorsement.
