Joe Rogan recently shared his take on the crisis Elon Musk is facing with X (formerly Twitter), which has seen the number of bots and fake accounts skyrocket since his aquisition of the platform. During episode #2253 of the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE), Rogan welcomed Theo Von to the show.
Von is a comedian and podcaster, as well as a long-time friend of the UFC commentator. The pair discussed a host of topics during their chat, before eventually landing on the issue of anonymity on social media and the sheer number of bot accounts active on social media platforms.
Rogan then specifically referred to an article written by a former member of the FBI, which had seen them conduct a search on X to figure out how many of the 611 million users were bots. Musk acquired the platform in 2022 for $44 billion and was told at the time that only 5% of users were thought to be fake accounts.
However, according the article which Rogan pulled up on the podcast, the number of bots suspected to be active on X is actually 80% (488 million). The 57-year-old then got brutally honest about the situation, stating:

"This guy was analyzing the amount of X people that are bots and this was a contentious issue of the purchase when Elon Musk bought Twitter. They were saying there's only 5% bots when they sampled 100 people. That's not enough. You have hundreds of millions of people signed up on this. They really didn't want to tell."

Joe Rogan makes announcement regarding Jon Jones' rumored $30 million demand
Joe Rogan recently clarified his comments regarding Jon Jones after stating that that he had heard the UFC were working to book Jones vs. Aspinall for later this year and the promotion was set to shatter their fighter pay records to make it happen. The rumors suggested that Jones had set his price at $30 million to face Aspinall.
However, during the latest episode of his podcast with Theo Von, Rogan revealed that he was contacted by Dana White and dismissed those rumors. He said:
"I had heard a rumor that Jon Jones wanted $30 million to fight Tom Aspinall, and I did hear that rumor. I did hear that the UFC said yes, but it is not true. Dana contacted me and said that the rumor is bullsh*t, so I feel obligated to tell everybody that it was a fake rumor. I don't even remember who told me it."
