Joe Rogan recently shared his views on climate change and the impact of human activities on rising global temperatures. In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, aired on Jan. 9, Rogan and filmmaker Mel Gibson discussed the issue, which has gained significant importance in global policymaking over the past few decades.

Rogan remarked that he has studied and discussed climate change extensively, but believes there is a lot of misinformation surrounding the topic. He emphasized:

"The problem is that once a narrative gets established and then there is a profit attached to the solution to that narrative - and that's green energy and green energy bills and there's businesses that are wrapped around there. And then there is fear that they love to pump into people about climate change."

Rogan referenced an article from the Washington Post that discussed how global temperature changes have occurred throughout Earth's history. He suggested that the notion of human activities being the primary cause of climate change may not be entirely accurate, saying:

"The idea that this whole thing is based on carbon emissions from human beings is total bullsh**. It's not true. We might be having an effect, but we're having a small effect, a very small effect, and the other things are completely outside of our control."

For those who are unaware, the Washington Post article referenced by Rogan was published in Sept. 2024. It included a graph depicting Earth's temperature fluctuations over the past 485 million years and was featured in the Journal of Science.

The graph was a part of the study that revealed the planet has endured severe temperature fluctuations, emphasizing how "swift and dramatic" these fluctuations can be. However, the lead author of the study, Emily Judd, noted that the planet has never changed as rapidly as it is changing at present.
