Joe Rogan seems to have his own opinions behind why Elon Musk doesn't seem to delve into discussing unidentified flying objects in depth. This conversation took place on episode 2249 of the Joe Rogan Experience featuring the titular figure speaking with Yannis Pappas and Chris Distefano.
The stand-up comics and podcast hosts were discussing rapid uncertainty surrounding AI before a playful comment about the aliens hovering caused a pivot in the discussion. Interjecting his points amid a three-pronged conversation with Pappas and Distefano, Rogan said:
"I think he's got contracts with NASA, and the defense department, and he's running Space X, I don't think he can talk wild about aliens. When you've got that kinda; There's like a lot on the line... I don't know... That tells me something is going on because I would be commenting on it."
He added:

"If I had nothing to do with it and I was a super genius who comments on everything, I would for sure comment on all of these f***in drones."

Joe Rogan's thoughts on why Alex Pereira vs. Magomed Ankalaev hasn't happened
Joe Rogan also has fight-game-related opinions on why Alex Pereira vs. Magomed Ankalaev has not been booked for the light heavyweight title and he articulated his thoughts on the same JRE installment. Rogan got into Pereira still having assignments in the light heavyweight divisions with contenders for his crown out there to deal with, before 'Poatan' can entertain moving up to heavyweight.
The 57-year-old theorized that because ufc-title-fight-alex-pereira-they-can-longer-deny-me" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-is-sponsored="false">Magomed Ankalaev has been engaging in more s**t talk, per Rogan's operative wording, than many of Pereira's prior opponents. The UFC commentator also stated that the Brazilian knockout artist does not care for this approach from Magomed Ankalaev and that Pereira is making the number one contender at 205 pounds wait because of it.
Joe Rogan added that he saw Ankalev as the clear number one contender, touting his long winning streak and that he has been waiting for a long time with his only non-victory in recent years being a draw against former divisional kingpin Jan Blachowicz.
The New Jersey native made a remark about how he thinks Pereira is lining up to compete again in March which would presumably be an issue for Ankalaev as the holy month of Ramadan begins at the end of February.
Many Muslim UFC fighters opt not to compete during this time and if all falls into place based on these rumblings, Ankalaev may potentially have to keep waiting for this elusive Pereira fight. However, Ankalev has mapped out a plan on social media for 2025 whereby he may in fact compete in March if formally offered a fight then.
