Joe Rogan has expressed strong criticism of California Governor Gavin Newsom over the state’s wildfire management, particularly in light of Los Angeles' recurring wildfire crises. Rogan pointed out the stark disparity between California’s budget allocation and priorities. He sharply identified the $24 billion spent on homelessness in the past year while overlooking preventive measures for wildfires.

During a recent podcast episode with American actor and filmmaker Mel Gibson, Rogan highlighted the lack of proactive forest management. The UFC color commentator also shed light on the systemic failures like water shortages during firefighting efforts, suggesting that state mismanagement contributed to the devastating outcomes.

Speaking to Gibson on episode #2254 of The Joe Rogan Experience, the popular podcaster said:

"We were just talking about the wildfire situation and how they spent $24 billion last year on homeless... What did they spend on preventing this wildfire? Zero! Zip!"

Rogan added:

"On top of that, they cut the water off... The whole state is so poorly managed. It's so frustrating and confusing. And he then gets on TV and pretends like everything is great. [Newsom], 'California is the best state, we have the most amazing economy'... You're out of your fu*king mind dude."

California, long regarded for its economic and environmental leadership, faces mounting criticism for its inability to mitigate wildfires. Critics, including president Donald Trump, argue that the administration's focus on other initiatives has diverted attention from essential disaster prevention and resource allocation.

Joe Rogan retracts from $30 million comments for Jon Jones after conversation with Dana White

Joe Rogan recently clarified claims regarding Jon Jones’ potential earnings for a fight against Tom Aspinall. Rogan shed light on the matter in a previous podcast episode after hearing rumors that Jones might earn $30 million for his next UFC title defense.

However, Dana White contacted him, refuting the rumor as false. Rogan has since retracted his statement, acknowledging his mistake while speaking to comedian Theo Von. He said:

"We were talking about Jon Jones and I had heard a rumor that Jon Jones wanted $30million to fight Tom Aspinall and I did hear that rumor and I did hear that the UFC said yes. But it is not true, Dana contacted me and said that rumor is bulls*it. So I felt obligated to tell everybody that was a fake rumor. I don’t even remember because unfortunately we did that podcast two weeks ago, I don’t remember who told me that.”
