Joe Rogan recently took to social media to promote his recent podcast episode. The host of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast (JRE) also doubled down on his support for the legalization of the Schedule 1 drug Ibogaine and urged his followers to watch the episode to know more about its benefits.

Speaking to the former Texas governor, Rick Perry, and former chairman of the Kentucky Opioid Commission, W. Bryan Hubbard, on the JRE show (#2251), Rogan dived into a discussion about the treatment of mental illnesses with plant-based psychoactives.

After learning about how Ibogaine helps treat addiction, anxiety and depression, he took to Instagram to share more information about the episode and wrote:

"This was one of the most important podcasts I’ve ever done, especially if you or someone you know have struggled with addiction. @governorperry and @w_bryan_hubbard joined me to discuss Ibogaine therapy and the efforts that have been made to bring it to Texas and to get this miraculous plant off the schedule 1 list. It has a truly insane rate of success in helping people kick addictions, cure anxiety and depression, and even many neurological conditions. The podcast is available now on @spotify and everywhere else."

Joe Rogan chimes in on Ibogaine not being a "party drug" on recent JRE episode

In the same episode, Joe Rogan gave his two cents on Ibogaine not being a "party drug," unlike other Schedule 1 substances. Rogan also backed the drug's ability to "cure addiction" in people struggling with that problem and iterated that there's no potential for abuse.

Speaking to Rick Perry and W. Bryan Hubbard on the JRE podcast, the UFC commentator shared his take on the supposed miracle drug and said:

"Ibogaine is one of those drugs that is not a party drug. No one uses it recreationally. There's no potential whatsoever for addiction to that drug. As a matter of fact, it actually cures addiction, somehow rewires the brain."
