Joe Rogan talks authenticity of Joe Biden's State-of-the-Union address amid allegations of pre-recorded speech

Joe Rogan discussed the controversy surrounding U.S. President Joe Biden's 2024 State of the Union address. A picture of Biden's watch showing the wrong time went viral online. It was alleged that the picture was from the speech, leading many to believe that the address was pre-recorded.

In a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Rogan discussed the incident with his guest Michael Malice, who is an author, cultural commentator and podcast host.

Rogan, who initially believed the President's address was pre-recorded, said:

"[President Biden's] State of the Union [address] was not live. Someone zoomed in on Biden's watch and it was [showing] the wrong time."

As Malice questioned the authenticity of the claim by asking if the news networks were a part of the conspiracy to broadcast a pre-recorded address, Rogan replied:

"I don't know what they knew. How do you know what they know? You just get the feed."

Malice explained the reason behind his argument. He said:

"I don't think all the Republicans would agree to it. They were all there. You've got Mike Johnson behind [Biden], you've got all the audience crossing their hands where they don't like what he was saying... It's got to be live."

At this point, Rogan's podcast producer Jamie Vernon seemed to have pulled up a fact-check piece online. Rogan read the article and admitted to having been tricked into believing that the address was pre-recorded:

"No. President Biden's address was not pre-recorded. A fake image with the wrong-timed watch is floating around. They got me. Sons of b****es. It's just amazing how much stuff is fake."

President Joe Biden has been criticized for his alleged cognitive decline and apparent struggle to have coherent conversations during many of his public appearances.

While discussing the 81-year-old's struggles in an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Rogan said:

"Everything around [Joe Biden] is what's supporting the country, which is kind of crazy. It just shows you that the system works even when you've got a guy like that. It's a great stress test to see what happens when you've got a guy [like Biden]."
