Joe Rogan often shares his insights on fighters and different combat sports disciplines on his podcast. In episode #2253 of The Joe Rogan Experience, the prominent UFC color commentator was joined by Theo Von, and the duo discussed the dominant boxing style of Julio Cesar Chavez.

The 62-year-old Mexican boxing icon is a former professional boxer known for his aggressive fighting style inside the squared circle. His style blended pressure and powerful body shots. Owing to his distinguished boxing career, Chavez was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2011.

Joe Rogan and Theo Von expressed their fascination with the former Mexican boxing champion's style in the ring. While breaking down his distinct fighting style with Von, Rogan said:

"In the 1990s, he was the f*cking man...I forget what his record was before he had his first defeat but it was something crazy, like 80 or 90 fights before he had his first defeat."

He further admired the Mexican boxing icon and added:

"At the end of his fights, when he had fighters broken, he'd just overwhelm them and swarm them. He was one of the most terrifying guys because he can keep his pace up 12 rounds, no f*cking problem, iron chin but different."

Joe Rogan backtracks from his earlier claim on potential Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall fight

Joe Rogan recently made a huge claim of Jon Jones reportedly demanding a $30 million paycheck to face Tom Aspinall this year earlier on his podcast. The fight between the duo is a much-awaited prospect for many MMA fans and pundits.

Since becoming the interim heavyweight champion in 2023, the 31-year-old British fighter has called out 'Bones' for a fight. However, the reigning UFC heavyweight champ has refused to acknowledge Aspinall.

The UFC color commentator has now backtracked from his claim on Jones' demand for the fight. In episode #2253 of The Joe Rogan Experience, he clarified his earlier claim by saying:

"I had heard a rumor that Jon Jones wanted $30 million to fight Tom Aspinall. And I did hear that rumor and I did hear that the UFC said yes, but that’s not true. Dana contacted me and said that rumor is bullsh*t. So I felt obligated to tell everybody that was a fake rumor…We did that podcast two weeks ago; I don’t remember who told me that.”
