Joe Rogan ridiculed Kamala Harris and her campaign team for allegedly spending millions of dollars on celebrity endorsements.
In November 2024, Donald Trump was elected as the 47th President of the United States. Trump secured a landslide victory against his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris, who received many endorsements from high-profile celebrities, including Beyonce and Eminem.
Earlier this week, Rogan released episode #2253 of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast featuring comedian Theo Von. During their conversation, the longtime UFC commentator had this to say about the accusations of Harris paying celebrities to endorse her as the presidential candidate:
"This was the big controversy. We tried to get to the bottom if it. It's hard to know. The accusations was that there's a few artists, Lizzo was one of them, Eminem was another one, Beyonce was the big one, and that they were paid an exorbitant amount of money to go and endorse Kamala Harris at these rallies. I don't know if it's true. It seems like there might be something to it. They spent so much money dude."

Rogan followed up by saying:
"The amount of f*cking money they went through. You spent $1.5 billion, and you paid celebrities. If that's true, you paid celebrities, how am I supposed to trust you with spending money?"

Joe Rogan educates Theo Von on the history between Rousimar Palhares and the UFC
Joe Rogan and Theo Von spent time on the previously mentioned podcast talking about a shared interest in MMA and the UFC. Rogan informed Von about Rousimar Palhares, a controversial welterweight/middleweight who fought in the octagon twelve times between 2008 and 2013:
"[Rousimar Palhares] He was the scariest guy of all time. Because he was all leg locks and he was built like a tank. He was like, 5'8", 185 pounds, just this f*cking ball of muscle. And he would dive on dudes' legs and just rip them apart. Wouldn't let go of the legs...He's the only guy to ever get kicked out of the UFC [while] winning. Because he was holding submissions. They kicked him out. They said, 'You can't do that.'"
Rousimar Palhares parted ways with the UFC following a 31-second submission win against Mike Pierce in October 2013. This fight was his first appearance at welterweight after previously fighting at middleweight.
