On episode #2162 of The Joe Rogan Experience, the UFC color commentator was joined by Tom Dillon, with whom he discussed disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein. In 2017, Weinstein became the subject of damning sexual assault allegations covering decades of abuse.

The sheer breadth of Weinstein's sexual misconduct led to a wave of women coming forward to share their own experiences of harassment, assault, and abuse, ultimately forming the viral #MeToo movement, which took social media by storm. Weinstein was summarily charged and convicted in 2020.

He has since been serving a 23-year sentence, but the topic of his potential release has emerged, as the New York Court of Appeals overturned the sexual assault conviction due to procedural errors, and has demanded a retrial. Regarding Weinstein's potential release, Rogan didn't see it happening and said:

"He's never getting out of jail. I don't think he's ever getting out, by the way."

Dillon, for one, hoped that Weinstein would be released, saying as much after the UFC commentator mentioned that the film producer is imprisoned for the rest of his life.

"He should. No, it's turning, Joe. Oh, you don't know? You don't know what's going on. They just overturned all of his convictions."

However, as the discussion continued, the podcast host reminded his guest that Weinstein was also sentenced to 16 years in prison in Los Angeles, and that conviction has not been overturned. So, the possibility of his release remains impossible unless a retrial in Los Angeles is also ordered.

Joe Rogan is no stranger to controversial figures

While Tim Dillon joked about Joe Rogan having Harvey Weinstein on his podcast in the event of an improbable release, the former 'Fear Factor' host has welcomed various controversial figures, including Alex Jones. In fact, the longtime UFC commentator has been himself interviewed by Jones.

Check out Alex Jones interviewing Joe Rogan:

Jones drew tremendous controversy due to his damning claims about the infamous Sandy Hook school shooting, which negatively impacted the families of the victims and led to legal action against Jones. The blowback from it over the years has been such that Jones will be shutting down 'InfoWars.'
