Joe Rogan shared his thoughts on illegal immigration into the United States of America. It has become an alarming issue that has polarized the masses and the political establishment of the country.

Rogan discussed the issue with journalist and co-founder of VICE Media, Shane Smith, in a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast released on Oct. 16.

Rogan said that he understands the sentiments of people from underdeveloped countries wanting to migrate to the USA for better opportunities and added:

"We have the greatest country in the world and that's why people want to come here. You have this land of opportunity and it's really amazing but what we have to do is make sure we don't let in murderers, killers, ra*ists, thieves and gang members; and a lot of them are getting through. That's what we have to be careful about. It's not just not letting people in."

He continued:

"Sure. We could sustain a lot more people in this country and I bet a lot of those people that come over are hardworking and very ambitious people that are excited to be here. They would love to be a part of the American experience. They would probably love to recognize as Americans."

Joe Rogan speaks about the potential roadblocks in solving the issue of illegal migration

Speaking further in the aforementioned episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Joe Rogan criticized people on either side of the political spectrum. He called for the need to look at the issue from a neutral standpoint to bring reforms in the immigration policy:

"You need someone to at least try [to tackle the issue non-politically] and not come at it from a right-wing perspective or a left-wing perspective. Just come at it like, 'this is what it is.'. I think there's more politically homeless people than ever now and they're going to side with one side or the other based on their opinion." [2:23:50]

Rogan added:

"It's like you're trying to figure out what team you belong on and both teams are filled with scoundrels. You go far enough to the left or the right and you have the same kind of monster that's adapted to a different ideology."

The issue of illegal immigration has been one of the major talking points in the media.
