Colombian Muay Thai star Johan Estupinan won a $50,000 performance bonus in his most recent ONE Championship match. It is money he intends to put to good use, including buying himself a house back home and helping others by promoting Muay Thai.
'Panda Kick' earned the incentive from the promotion's Chariman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong following his second-round knockout victory over Moroccan fighter Zakaria El Jamari in their flyweight Muay Thai scrap at ONE Fight Night 25: Nicolas vs Eersel II on Oct. 4 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
In the post-fight interview, Johan Estupinan shared his plans for the bonus he received, saying:
"Like I said before, I'm going to use the money to buy a house back in Colombia. I will also help spread Muay Thai in my community and help children that were in the same situation as I was when I was a child.

"I want to prove to the world that Colombia has good people, and not just the bad things that you see on TV. We are the good people of Colombia, and that's what I'm representing. So the money is going to be for that. I'm going to buy my house and help others."
Johan Estupinan encountered early adversity at ONE Fight Night 25 at the hands of El Jamari. But, he was able to compose himself and charged back, which resulted in him in landing a clean left hand in the second round and sending El Jamari to the mat.

Johan Estupinan wins second straight $50,000 bonus at ONE Fight Night 25
The $50,000 performance bonus that Johan Estupinan earned at ONE Fight Night 25 on Oct. 4 was his second in as many matches and in just a month.
21-year-old Estupinan was rewarded the hefty incentive in his previous match in the United States at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6 after he finished Filipino-American fighter Sean Climaco in a flyweight Muay Thai joust.
The Columbian star got early inroad in the contest, dropping Climaco early with a right hook and landed another hook in the second stanza that sent 'The One' crashing to the canvas once again.
Climaco was able to beat the count but was visibly rocked by the hit he received. From there, Estupinan went for the finish, unleashing a barrage of punches, eventually sending his opponent for the final time at the 1:28 mark of the second round.
Estupinan was one of six athletes who earned performance bonuses at ONE 168 from ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.
