Johan Ghazali understands that he'll need to be at his best to become the first man to hand Johan Estupinan a loss. Still, he's more than happy to take that challenge up to prove that the Colombian star is nowhere near as good as what most make of him.
The Malaysian-American teenager meets Estupinan in a flyweight Muay Thai joust at ONE 170 inside the Impact Arena on Jan. 24, looking for his seventh promotional win and first of 2025.
Speaking at a ONE 170 virtual media day, Johan Ghazali shared:
"Before this, he fought guys who weren't on his level. So when people tell me Estupinan is undefeated, he has a lot of knockouts in his resume, this or that, it really doesn't mean much for me."

Of course, he'll have to back up those words on fight night against a warrior who's racked up four successive victories under the ONE spotlight.
However, having shifted his fight camp over the past month to Superbon Training Camp, where he trains alongside Superbon, Trainer Gae, and Nong-O, the 18-year-old sensation does not lack any confidence.
He has learned more than one or two tricks ahead of fight night, and he's ready to produce his best version yet to be the first athlete to beat Estupinan come Jan. 24.
Johan Ghazali excited to test himself against 'different' Johan Estupinan
While not lacking the belief that he can get his hand raised at ONE 170, Johan Ghazali knows his dance partner will be anything but a walk in the park.
Speaking to Anything Combat previously, he shared:
"He's a very unorthodox fighter. A different fighter. He doesn't fight like traditional Thais or traditional Muay Thai fighters."
ONE 170 will be available to active Amazon Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada on Jan. 24.
