Johan Ghazali has a long history with his ONE 170 opponent, Johan Estupinan.

This Friday, January 24, the 18-year-old Ghazali will look to land his seventh career win under the ONE Championship banner when the promotion heads back to Impact Arena in Bangkok for a massive fight card headlined by a trio of can't-miss ONE world title bouts.

In one of the most anticipated scraps of the evening, Ghazali will attempt to take Johan Estupinan's 'O' and take a giant step towards establishing himself as a legitimate contender in the loaded ONE flyweight Muay Thai division.

But Ghazali's fight with Estupinan isn't just about getting another win and raising his stock. It's about exacting a little bit of revenge for his brother who actually suffered a loss against Estupinan at the IMFA World Championships in 2021.

"Of course, of course. I’ve been impressed by his run so far," Ghazali told the promotion. "Me and Estupinan, our families, we go way back, you know. My brother fought Estupinan at the IFMA championships a few years ago. He lost by points, but even in the world championships he shocked everyone. Everyone underestimated him - including us.
"We thought he was an easy fight because he fought like he didn’t know how to fight. But now, it’s different."

Johan Estupinan looks to continue his undefeated run against Johan Ghazali

As impressive as Johan Ghazali has looked inside the Circle, kickstarting his ONE run with five straight wins and going 6-1 thus far, Johan Estupinan has looked equally impressive.

Making his promotional debut in May 2023, 'Panda Kick' immediately caught the attention of fight fans with a vicious 27-second knockout against Kouta Omori at ONE Friday Fights 84. He's since added highlight-reel KOs against Sean Climaco and Zakaria El Jamari on top of a unanimous decision victory over Zafer Sayik.

Boasting an incredible 26-0 record, Johan Estupinan has all the makings of a future ONE world champion, but if he hopes to one day hoist 26 pounds of gold over his head, he'll have to make a statement against one of ONE's most explosive prospects.
