Johan Ghazali 'ready' for Johan Estupinan fight after stint at Superbon's gym: "One of the best camps I've had"

Johan Ghazali is deep in preparations for what might be the biggest fight and test of his young career to date.

The 18-year-old has shown incredible promise since he really broke through in 2023 following a standout year in ONE Championship.

2024 was another significant chapter for Ghazali but for very different reasons and that has set him up perfectly for 2025.

This year, the rising star suffered his first loss under the ONE banner before bouncing back in style at ONE 168.

'Jojo' is now working harder than ever whilst being smart with his training before he returns at ONE 170 on January 24.

At the Impact Arena in Bangkok, he will collide with Johan Estupinan in a fight that has a post-fight bonus written all over it.

For this fight, Johan Ghazali has been continuing to work out of Superbon's gym with both men sharing the card next month.

He spoke about this experience during the recent virtual media day that took place for ONE 170:

"One of the best camps I've had. I'm learning a lot. I'm fit, I'm strong, no injuries, nothing bad really. It's been a really good fight camp. So, I'm ready."

Johan Ghazali is a dangerous striker but his aggression and recklessness has cost him in the past as we saw at ONE 167.

His last trip to the Impact Arena earlier this year did not go his way as he was beaten by Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat.

The difference between that fight and his next is that Johan Estupinan is also a gunslinger who throws every strike with the intention of ending the fight.

This matchup will really test Ghazali as he takes on an opponent who like him, is used to getting his man out of there.
