Johan Ghazali is confident he has the knowledge to solve the puzzling offensive style of Johan Estupinan when they square off in a crucial flyweight Muay Thai matchup at the stacked ONE 170 card on Friday, January 24, at Impact Arena.

No one has yet to crack Estupinan's flashy offensive game, but Ghazali believes he's got the perfect game plan to secure a highlight-reel knockout finish against the Colombian spitfire.

Ghazali spent several months training with ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon and famed coach Trainer Gae in Bangkok, and that training camp could provide invaluable experience for the young phenom.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Ghazali said Superbon and Trainer Gae gave him the perfect game plan that would help him find the openings in Estupinan's offensive barrage.

Johan Ghazali said:

"We have a really good game plan going. Superbon and Trainer Gae has provided me the perfect plan to find a way around his crazy style. We’ve been working on this for more than two months now."

Estupinan burst onto the scene when he made his ONE Championship debut in May 2024.

Utilizing a flashy and flamboyant style, Estupinan built a perfect 4-0 record in the promotion with three knockout wins over Kouta Omori, Sean Climaco, and Zakaria El Jamari.

Ghazali, meanwhile, racked up an impressive 6-1 slate in ONE Championship while establishing himself as one of the best teenage stars on the planet.

'Jojo' also collected five knockout victories against Padetsuk Fairtex, Tai Sor Jor Piek Uthai, Temirlan Bekmurzaev, Edgar Tabares, and Josue Cruz.

Johan Ghazali revels at his time training with Superbon and Nong-O Hama

Although Johan Ghazali has his home gym Rentap Muay Thai in Malaysia, he decided to fly off to Bangkok and join the Superbon Training Camp in preparation for ONE 170.

It's at Superbon's gym that Ghazali got to train with the ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion and a slew of major characters in the world of Muay Thai.

Former ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Petchtanong Petchfergus and former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama also train in the gym, while famed coach Trainer Gae is one of the facility's head trainers.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Ghazali described the environment he was in and how important for his growth as a fighter.

"Their experience is like no other. They've been in the game for so long and it's definitely very good for me."
