Muay Thai upstart Johan Ghazali is never afraid to speak his mind, and that seems to be the case once more as he zeroes in on his eighth fight in ONE Championship this Friday, Jan. 24.
Inside Bangkok's sold-out Impact Arena, the 18-year-old sensation aims to hand Colombian high-flyer Johan Estupinan his first career loss in their flyweight Muay Thai matchup.
There has been plenty of talk about Estupinan's wild fight style and his ability to stop the Malaysian-American star in the lead-up to this battle — not that Johan Ghazali is buying any of it.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA ahead of fight night, the Rentap Muay Thai Gym and Superbon Training Camp martial artist humbly declared that he will have his foe's number whichever way their fight unfolds:

"I don't see a clear path to victory for him, if I'm honest. Not trying to sound cocky or what, but as good as he is, I'm very confident that I'll be able to stop him wherever the fight goes."
Johan Ghazali wants to exact revenge for his brother at ONE 170
Apart from wanting to add another victory to his near-perfect tenure (6-1) in the promotion, Johan Ghazali is out to gain revenge for his eldest sibling against the undefeated JCFernandez and Team CSK athlete.
Estupinan beat Elias Ghazali, 22, by unanimous decision at the 2021 IFMA World Championship. Though he wouldn't have the opportunity to do it himself, his younger brother is ready to pull one back at all costs.
In the same interview, he offered:
"Yeah, revenge is partly why I'm motivated. He beat my brother the last time they fought, and now is my chance to take one back for my family. I'm very sure I can do it."
ONE 170 will be available at watch.onefc.com this Friday, Jan. 24.
