Muay Thai star Johan Ghazali is always looking to make the most out of his opportunities as a ONE Championship athlete, which includes being able to train with one of his idols: ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon.
As he prepares for an all-out war with fellow flyweight Muay Thai phenom Johan Estupinan at ONE 170 on Jan. 24, 2025, Ghazali shared his admiration for Superbon during the virtual press conference for ONE 170:
"One of them is Superbon. I'm training alongside him now. [He's a] very technical, very smooth, very smart fighter, you know. I look up to a lot of people, but Superbon stands out."

With this reveal, fans can better understand why Ghazali enjoys employing a high-pressure fighting style because this is how Superbon prefers to engage his opponents inside the circle.
However, 'Jojo' will need to ensure the strength of his chin is up to par before fighting Estupinan because of the 22-year-old Colombian's awesome knockout power, which he has flaunted in three of his four wins under the ONE banner.
Johan Ghazali unfazed by Johan Estupinan's undefeated record
Johan Estupinan currently bears an undefeated record through 26 fights in his career, but Johan Ghazali does not see anything impressive about it. The Rentap Muay Thai Gym athlete even went so far as to claim that 'Panda Kick' has been fighting opponents below his level.
At one point during the same virtual press conference, Ghazali stated:
"Before this, he fought guys who weren't on his level. So when people tell me Estupinan is undefeated, he has a lot of knockouts in his resume, this or that, it really doesn't mean much to me."
ONE 170 will take place inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
