Johan Ghazali is used to competing on some of the biggest cards of the year that ONE Championship puts on.

The young rising star has been one of the breakout stars of the past few years but he isn't the only one.

On Jan. 24, the promotion returns to the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, where some of the top strikers on the roster will be in action.

The card includes Johan Ghazali's return as he takes on Johan Estupinan in a flyweight Muay Thai clash between two of the most exciting prospects in ONE.

Earlier on in the night, another exciting competitor that is moving up the ranks with each performance will take on Johan's brother, Jordan Estupinan, who is making his promotional bow.

Freddie Haggerty has amassed three consecutive finishes since joining the promotional roster, and as the younger brother of Jonathan Haggerty, he's living up to the hype.

Freddie has been linked with Ghazali for several months due to the massive potential of both teenagers.

However, it appeared that the fight wouldn't happen due to their weight difference, with Freddie competing in the strawweight bracket.

And hence why 'Jojo' was taken off guard when he saw his fellow rising star matched on this card at flyweight.

He commented on this during the recent virtual media day:

"I was. I was actually very surprised because when I asked him to fight, he was saying it'll never happen because he was never going to flyweight. So, I'm surprised and I'm looking forward to fighting him."

Johan Ghazali doesn't back down from challenges

2024 was a very important year for Johan Ghazali as he suffered the first defeat of his ONE Championship career.

Despite this setback, it hasn't deterred 'Jojo' from seeking out the biggest challenges that are out there for him.

He isn't necessarily wanting to compete right at the top of the flyweight division just yet but he isn't afraid to face the other top names that are around him as proven by his next contest at ONE 170.
