Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States on Jan. 20, 2025. UFC champion Conor McGregor and his coach, John Kavanag, were among the many notable guests who attended the inauguration.
The two were reported to have boarded a private jet from Dublin to Washington D.C. on Jan. 18, which also happens to be Kavanagh's birthday. He expressed gratitude for the memorable celebrations, crediting McGregor for the special invitation to Trump's event.
Kavanagh shared a photo of himself with McGregor, which was captioned:

Conor McGregor teases “Epic Fight” with Logan Paul
In December 2024, Conor McGregor claimed that a boxing exhibition versus Logan Paul was in the works to take place in India, backed by the Ambani family.
The event was reportedly scheduled to take place at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, with each fighter set to earn an unprecedented $250 million.
Logan Paul shared similar enthusiasm about the proposition of this exhibition match.
In Happy Punch’s recent post on X, McGregor reportedly expressed confidence over a phone call with Paul that the fight shall take place.
The WWE star responded to the call, saying:
"If Conor McGregor wants to fight, we are running it. I mean, bro it's an epic fight."
He added:
"It would be something I would step away from WWE for a second to go do... $250 million, I've got to take that. If Nick Khan matches that, I'll stay in the WWE."
Here's how the conversation went:
Rumours of the boxing battle between McGregor and Paul have been categorically denied by UFC CEO Dana White, however.
The arrangements are complicated due to McGregor's contractual obligations with the UFC. It is also speculated that the Irishman has a possible link to Dana White's mystery fight in 2025.
During his appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast, White stated:
"No, no, no, no. Hopefully, Conor McGregor returns... in the fall of this year."
