John Lineker has fought the world over in his long career, but the next arena he goes into holds a bit more mystique than the others he’s been in.
‘Hands of Stone’ is set to step inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok when he takes on Fabricio Andrade in their rematch for the vacant ONE bantamweight world title. The two rivals will meet in the main event of ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video on February 24.
In an interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Lineker said that he’s honored to share the same arena where some of the greatest Muay Thai fighters made their historic names.

“Fighting in Bangkok, in one of the most legendary arenas in the world, is an honor, a great satisfaction. Totally different emotion and I am very happy to have this opportunity to step into an arena where great Muay Thai legends have stepped.”
Legendary fighters such as Saenchai and Buakaw Banchamek, who are considered among the greatest Muay Thai artists of all time, have made their names inside the storied arena.
John Lineker, who has some of the heaviest hands in mixed martial arts, also plans to etch his name in the historic sporting facility when he faces Andrade in their highly anticipated rematch. The Brazilian star’s first fight against Andrade at ONE on Prime Video 3 ended in a disappointing no-contest. Lineker got pinned to the cage wall when Andrade tagged him with an inadvertent knee strike to the groin in the third round.
Nevertheless, Lineker is pumped to get back on track and reclaim the gold he lost on the scale. ONE Fight Night 7 is available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

In an interview with ONE Championship, John Lineker said that he’s already envisioned himself letting his hands go and wailing at Andrade non-stop.
"When I close my eyes, I see myself imposing my game, going up all the time, nonstop. And that’s what will happen. I’m training for this.”
