ONE bantamweight world champion John Lineker is preparing for his first title defense at ONE on Prime Video 3. He's training to combat Fabricio Andrade's striking, whom he believes he'll put away in the third round.

Like many, Lineker expects his upcoming title fight to mainly take place on the feet. He told ONE Championship:

“This fight will definitely have a lot of striking, and it will be very exciting. He’s going to want to kick me a lot, come in with his knee, but I’m prepared for anything, both striking and on the ground."

Notably, Andrade enters the bout riding a three-fight first-round finish streak. In his last outing, he put down Won II Kwon with a devastating kick to the liver.

Since joining ONE back in 2019, the 32-year-old has gone unbeaten in four appearances. His three-fight finish streak has Lineker as one of the most fan-friendly fighters on the planet. The Brazilian dethroned the former champ, Bibiano Fernandes, in emphatic fashion at ONE Championship: Lights Out.

Lineker expects his stoppage streak to extend to four following his upcoming bout with Andrade. The bantamweight champ told ONE Championship:

"I see myself finishing him off in the third round.”

'Hands of Stone' is known for putting pressure on his opponents from the opening bell and he has vowed to do the same at ONE on Prime Video 3.

In preparation for the title fight, Lineker has been asserting that his boxing is better than Andrade's. Not only are Lineker's hands technically sound, but they're also powerful. Many fans will be surprised if their contest goes to the judges.

Remember that John Lineker owns wins in the UFC over the likes of John Dodson, Marlon Vera, Rob Font, and Ian McCall. There's no debating who has the experience edge between him and Andrade.

John Lineker vs. Fabricio Andrade headlines a stacked ONE on Prime Video 3 card, which features three world title fights. The event is set to take place at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on October 21.
