Former undisputed ONE bantamweight MMA world champion 'Hands of Stone' John Lineker of Brazil is thinking about his future.
The heavy-handed knockout artist is a grizzled fight veteran at 34. But he knows he can't fight forever and is preparing for a comfortable future at home in Brazil.
Professional fighters often struggle with the mortality of their careers, and the financial windfall from prizefights doesn't last very long, no matter how much money they make. Lineker understands this, and it is why he is making intelligent business decisions to set him up for financial success once his fighting career comes to an end.
'Hands of Stone' has invested in many small businesses in his native Paranagua, but his latest venture has him really excited.

Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Lineker revealed he has put up his dream construction business named 'Maos de Pedra' (Hands of Stone) after his MMA moniker.
The 34-year-old American Top Team fighter said:
"I’m getting into this business world because I plan to retire soon. If everything goes well with the company, I plan to retire even earlier than I had planned. If the company takes off, I’ll stop even sooner!"
Lineker sees the end of the tunnel in his fighting career, even though it's still a few years away. He has his exit plan mapped out carefully and wants to enjoy the rest of his time.
He added:
"I plan to fight for another five or six years. That’s my goal. I want to be able to do as many fights as possible during this period so that I can then retire, rest, and enjoy my family more."
