Johnny Walker has seemingly rediscovered his form inside the octagon. The Brazilian seems keen to fulfill the promise he had earlier in his career by becoming a real threat in the light heavyweight division.
The Brazilian knows how to steal the spotlight and was once touted as the man to end Jon Jones' dominance in the division, but the fascinating matchup never came to fruition. Throughout his time in the UFC, the towering 205er has shown glimpses of exactly why he remains one of the most dangerous men in the weight class.
In a post on social media, Johnny Walker announced that he would soon return to the cage. He also hinted at his championship aspirations:
"I'm coming back to fighting in the big MMA stage on earth soon again. I'm so excited for my career, my path is leading to success. All the mistakes become experience and now I have all the tools to accomplish my goals in the sport. I'm very happy and excited."

During his most recent octagon appearance, the South American put on a show when he collided with Paul Craig at UFC 283 late last month. Midway through the first round of his clash with the Brit, Walker saw his front kick caught by his opponent but expertly improvised with strikes for a subsequent TKO victory.
Johnny Walker's career in the UFC thus far
Johnny Walker entered the UFC with a lot of hype, having won each of his last six fights—with one coming during his time on Dana White's Contender Series.
The now-30-year-old began life hot in his new promotion, finishing each of his first three opponents in quick and emphatic fashion, but his run would then see him lose four of his next five outings, suffering two knockout losses during that time.
More recently, Walker has managed to string together a two-fight win streak, beating both Ion Cutelaba and the aforementioned Paul Craig as he attempts to make a push toward UFC gold.
