The undefeated Jonathan Di Bella is looking to add ONE gold to his already prestigious career. The Italian-Canadian fighter is claiming the ONE circle as his own ahead of the fight for the vacant ONE strawweight kickboxing world title.

Headlining ONE 162 on October 21, Jonathan Di Bella will go to war looking to claim a new throne. But standing in his way is the Chinese-born prodigy Zhang Peimian.

At the ONE 162 Virtual Press Conference, Di Bella declared his claim. He said:

"I can’t wait to become the king of the division. And I will become the king of the division on October 21st."

Di Bella might be making his debut in ONE Championship, however, between kickboxing and boxing, the combat sports ring is his home, he explained:

"I feel like Zhang has the home field advantage of sorts, since the fight is in Asia. But my home field advantage is the Circle. The Circle is my home."

The Italian-Canadian fighter has dreams of capturing the ONE strawweight kickboxing world championship, but he will need to defeat the 18-year-old kickboxing phenom 'Fighting Rooster' Zhang Peimian. Peimian is undefeated in ONE Championship and has impressed international audiences with his tremendous speed.

Jonathan Di Bella is excited about the challenge of facing Zhang Peimian

Undefeated in professional boxing and kickboxing, Jonathan Di Bella has some swift and precise hands. The 26-year-old will need to bring all the experience he has as he looks to defeat China's Zhang Peimian.

In an interview with SCMP MMA, Di Bella outlined how much he is looking forward to this match. He said:

“It makes me very excited. I know he’s No.1 in the world right now. I signed up for the sport to compete at the highest level. I’m not here playing. I’m here to fight everybody.”

Despite a major world title on the line at ONE 162, going into his October 21 fight, Di Bella does not feel additional pressure. The Italian-Canadian explained:

“No pressure. I treat it like a regular fight at the end of the day. The belt is just a bonus. I always had my eyes on this belt. I believe I was going to be a kickboxing champion since I was a little kid. It’s finally going to happen.”
