Former ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Di Bella takes pride in representing Canada in ONE Championship, along with noted fighters like veteran Denis Puric.

The Quebec native shared this in a recent interview with Calf Kick Sports in line with his scheduled return to action at ONE Friday Fights 68 on June 28 at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Di Bella expressed pride in carrying the banner of the Great White North in the 'Home of Martial Arts', and he is excited to see fellow Canadian fighters like Puric do well in the promotion.

The 27-year-old Italian-Canadian said:

"Yeah, especially now that there's Denis Puric and me representing Canada as well, so that's going to be huge. That would be great to make some headlines."

Bosnian-Canadian Puric is currently the No. 2 contender in the flyweight Muay Thai division.

Meanwhile, at ONE Friday Fights 68, Jonathan Di Bella will try to reclaim the vacant ONE strawweight Muay Thai world title after being stripped of it ahead of his scheduled title fight earlier this year for missing the hydration levels during weigh-ins. The fight was eventually canceled.

He is going up against ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai, the same opponent he was supposed to go up against last time around.

Jonathan Di Bella also interested in dipping hands in Muay Thai

While he is currently focused on reclaiming the strawweight kickboxing world title at ONE Friday Fights 68 later this month, Jonathan Di Bella of Canada said he has given doing Muay Thai as well some thought and may go for it at some point.

He made this known in the same interview with Calf Kick Sports, sharing how he has been eyeing plunging into the art of eight limbs but only after fulfilling some unfinished business in kickboxing.

Jonathan Di Bella said:

"100 perecent sure. I've always been intrigued by a Muay Thai fight. But my focus right now is on gaining my kickboxing belt back. And then defending it in the United States. But down the line, for sure."

Di Bella has been undefeated in 12 professional kickboxing matches, the last two under ONE Championship's banner.
