Former ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Di Bella fell extremely sick in his supposed title defense against Prajanchai PK Saenchai at ONE Friday Fights 58 last April.
It got so bad that Di Bella felt his head spinning during the event's face-off.
In a recent interview with ONE, the Italian-Canadian slugger admitted he felt physically off leading to the fight but, thought he could still power through. He lost 26 pounds of gold after failing his hydration test, but wanted to proceed at a catchweight. He said:
"I went to do the faceoff because I was hoping that the fight was still going on. I was going to the hospital, and I thought maybe they could give me something to make me feel better."

Unfortunately for the 27-year-old, he only felt worse and was forced to pull out of the fight entirely. Still, Di Bella was somehow relieved that he didn't vomit his guts out in the presence of Prajanchai, adding:
"I remember facing off and I was holding in my puke. I was about to throw up on him. I'm like, 'Don't throw up on him. This thing's going viral if I puke!"
Now that Jonathan Di Bella is 100 percent healthy it's time to resume this epic showdown for the now-vacant strawweight kickboxing throne.
Jonathan Di Bella and Prajanchai's date with destiny takes place at ONE Friday Fights 68
Prajanchai, the reigning strawweight Muay Thai king, has two-sport supremacy in his sights as his rescheduled bout with Jonathan Di Bella draws closer.
In the same interview, Di Bella said his goal remains the same, and he's hellbent on reclaiming his crown inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on June 28:
"The circumstances changed, but I was ready for him and very excited to compete against him in April. We just had to take some more time."
ONE Friday Fights 68 will stream live in Asian Primetime via the ONE Super App and ONE's digital platforms in selected regions.
