Jonathan Di Bella points to Rui Botelho's lack of aggression as one of the main reasons why he thinks he may have underperformed in their fight at ONE Fight Night 26.

The Canadian-Italian slugger bounced back into the winner's column after a shaky past couple of months, where he was unseated from his throne and suffered a first career defeat to reigning two-sport world champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai.

Despite the setbacks, he treated the audience to another striking clinic inside the Lumpinee Stadium on December 6 to get his career back on track, though the victor himself wasn't all that pleased with the W.

Addressing the fight and Botelho's tendency to sit back and lay low during the post-event press conference, Jonathan Di Bella shared:

"I wish he was going to be more aggressive. I would have done a bit more better."

Regardless of what style the Portuguese fighter brought on fight night, the former ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion executed his mission to perfection.

After reading Botelho's strengths in the opening round, Di Bella deployed his usual game, combining his smooth striking and footwork to land and make his foe miss.

By the end of the nine-minute war, the 28-year-old cruised to a unanimous decision win to improve to 13-1.

Jonathan Di Bella open to a scrap with Thai icon Sam-A Gaiyanghadao

If he hasn't done enough to secure a rematch against Prajanchai PK Saenchai, Jonathan Di Bella is ready to beat the latter's longtime nemesis — multi-time world champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao — to position himself as the leading contender to the throne.

During the presser, the striking specialist had this to say in response to a preferred dance partner for his next outing if a fight for gold doesn't materialize:

"Oh man, anybody. Anybody in the division, you know. Sam-A is great, fighting the legends. That will be a great fight."
