Jonathan Di Bella is interested in potentially fighting Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
Rodtang has committed to kickboxing after dominating the ONE flyweight Muay Thai division. As a result, several kickboxers are eyeing a high-profile matchup against the Thai superstar, including Di Bella, the reigning ONE strawweight kickboxing king.
During an interview with the South China Morning Post (SCMP) MMA, the Italian-Canadian world champion had this to say about fighting ‘The Iron Man’:
“A hundred percent, I have to take that fight, but maybe not at 135 because that’s way too big for me. We’ll catchweight at 130 or something, that would be good at 130. Because at 135, I feel too small for that. I walk around at 124, so I will be too small."

Di Bella made his ONE Championship debut with a lifetime Muay Thai/kickboxing record of 10-0. After Sam-A Gaiyanghado vacated the strawweight kickboxing world title due to retirement, the 26-year-old was matched up against Zhang Peiman to determine a new strawweight king. The Italian-Canadian won by unanimous decision and is now waiting for his first world title challenger.

Jonathan Di Bella reveals who he thinks deserves the next strawweight kickboxing title shot
Jonathan Di Bella has a name in mind for his first title defense. He is interested in fighting former WMC Muay Thai World Champion Danial Williams. The 29-year-old holds a promotional record of 3-1 in MMA and 0-1 in Muay Thai.
During the same interview with SCMP MMA, Di Bella discussed Williams by saying:
“I’ve seen his resume in kickboxing. He has a big resume in kickboxing, he has a big resume in kickboxing. He has more experience than me. He has a lot more experience than me in kickboxing and Muay Thai. And he’s been winning in kickboxing, so yeah I think he deserves a shot.”
Williams hasn’t fought an official kickboxing bout with ONE, but he has experience worthy of a world title shot. Meanwhile, Di Bella made a name for himself in Glory before signing with the Asia-based promotion. These two fighters have the potential to put on an action-packed fight, which is exactly what the strawweight kickboxing division needs.
