Jonathan Haggerty is not backing down from the pronouncement made by upcoming opponent Fabricio Andrade that he is going after his Muay Thai world title next. ‘The General’ said that he, too, has his eyes set on the mixed martial arts world title held by ‘Wonder Boy.’
The two ONE champions will collide at ONE Fight Night 16 on Prime Video on November 3 in Bangkok for the vacant bantamweight kickboxing world title.
In the lead-up to the headlining title fight of the event happening at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, Fabricio Andrade said that he is going after Jonathan Haggerty’s Muay Thai gold after he claims the kickboxing title.
When he got wind of what his opponent said, the 26-year-old British fighter saw the need to respond, taking to Instagram and made his intentions known that he, too, will go after the Brazilian’s MMA title once he wins their marquee battle in kickboxing.

He posted a quote card of what Andrade said in his Instagram story and captioned it with:
“Funny that. I want you mma belt after I beat you.”
At ONE Fight Night 16, both fighters are angling to become among the few two-sport ONE world champions.
Jonathan Haggerty is looking to win consecutive world titles after seizing the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title in April. He knocked out longtime champion Nong-O Hama in the opening round of their title clash, displaying crisp striking that his opponent simply had no answer to.
He is actually going for a third world title, having once held the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title.
For his part, Fabricio Andrade is also eyeing back-to-back title conquests after bagging the vacant bantamweight MMA world title in February at the expense of former division king John Lineker. He won by way of an impressive fourth-round technical knockout (corner stoppage).
ONE Fight Night 16 will air live in US primetime free of charge for existing Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
